Job Description: Media Buyer

As the Programmatic Media Buyer, you will be responsible for working with both the Sales Managers and Campaign managers to execute CPI campaigns across our DSP. The ideal candidate would be a passionate, driven, and analytical person who is able to partner with cross-functional teams to drive installs.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and/or manage a variety of CPI campaigns across programmatic sources, including content and native ad networks, exchanges / trading desks / DSPs, video platforms, and advertising networks to ensure reach, efficiency and scale are met while hitting KPIs
  • Identify online media buying opportunities by growing current relationships as well as locating new partners
  • Spearhead negotiating and closing deals
  • Lead analysis of campaign results to direct managers and executive team
  • Manage daily marketing campaign data updates
  • Monitor and analyze campaigns for both delivery and performance
  • Ensure campaigns are profitable (Spend does not exceed gross profit)
  • Create solid media buying process and plan of action to ensure proper and thorough testing occurs for each campaign
    • Plan of Action to include:
      • Test Spend Threshold
      • Minimum Days needed to test
      • Networks to Test
      • Targeting
      • A/B Testing options
  • Create “Scale” process after successful testing of a campaign
  • Manage and lead Media Buying as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ of experience in an online media buying role working hands-on with programmatic channels, including ad networks, exchanges and self-service platforms, ideally for a direct response advertiser
  • Knowledge of various media forms, including display, video, email and mobile
  • Comfortable working with large budgets ($1MM+)
  • Experience with all deal models required: CPM, CPC, CPA, hybrid
  • Google Analytics experience a plus
  • Superior analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite – especially Excel
  • Experience with ad trafficking
  • Creative thinker – passion for developing new marketing tactics and executing on them
  • Strong verbal presentation and written communication
